CLYDE - Marjorie Ellen Betts, age 88, passed away on Sunday (August 2, 2015) following a short illness.
Visitation will be held on Thursday (August 6) from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Rose United Methodist Church, 10695 School Street, Rose, N.Y. Marjorie's Memorial Service will be held immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marjorie's name may be offered to the Rose United Methodist Church.
Marjorie was born in Clyde on January 23, 1927, daughter of Ubaldo and Charlotte Judd DiSanto. Marjorie was a lifelong resident of the area and had been employed at Parker-Hannifin in Lyons.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Susan) Betts of Canastota, Dennis (Mary Anne) Betts of Clyde, Dawn (Robert) Hetzke of Clyde, Charles Betts of Rose, Cheryl Harris and Kathryn Betts of Newark; nine grandchildren: David Jr., Todd, Crystal, Joshua (Kate), Justin (Andrea), Amy, Holly, Jason, Nicole; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth (Sylvia) DiSanto and Edwin (Phyllis) DiSanto; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Lionel; son-in-law, Roger Rice; grandson, Roger Paul Rice, Jr.; son, David "Tab" Betts, and brother, James DiSanto.
