Bryant Donald R. Bryant, age 75, of Sunbury, died suddenly Monday, August 3, 2015 at St. Ann's Hospital. He was born on September 30, 1939 in Berkshire to the late Willie J. Bryant and Mary E. (Webb) Bryant Doane. He graduated from Big Walnut High School in 1957. Don worked for 25 years as a supervisor with the former Nestles Plant and retired in 1995. He attended Genoa Baptist Church and was a member of Central Ohio Radio Kontrol Society of which he was secretary for many years. Don was a true family man and treasured the time spent with his family. Don was a vintage car enthusiast and had a 1953 Ford Crestliner Sunliner Convertible and a 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible. He also enjoyed flying and building radio controlled airplanes, building small steam engines, photography, watching old westerns and John Wayne movies. Donald was a proud American and loved his country so much that he carried his selective service card in his wallet until his death. He is survived by his sons, Mark of Sunbury and Phil (Elizabeth) Bryant of Sunbury; grandchildren, William Jeffrey and Emily Paige Bryant, both of Sunbury; longtime friend, Marty Clippinger; nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sandra Kay (Robbins) Bryant in 1985 and his brother Ronald J. Bryant in 1999. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the DeVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, SR's 3 at 61, Sunbury and Thursday one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service. Pastor Frank Carl will officiate and burial will follow in Sunbury Memorial Park.
