Irene M. VanBrackle, 89, of Palmer Township, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 in ManorCare. Born November 30, 1925, in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel A. and Minnie B. Garren VanHorn. Her husband of 66 years, Willie Harris VanBrackle, Sr., died March 31, 2013. Surviving is a son, Joseph VanBrackle, of Easton; two daughters, Carol Volkert and her companion Dennis M. Hill, of Macungie, PA and Mary Jane Piersa, of Easton; a brother, Earl VanHorn, of Colorado; a sister, Dorothy LaBar, of Easton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Willie H. VanBrackle, Jr. and four siblings. Services will be held at 11am Thursday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Thursday 10-11am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
