Can't believe it's been 7 yrs. since Jack's passing! I know there is not a day that you, Joan and family, don't think of him, but we know he is safe and loved and STILL looking down and laughing at our silliness! Bless you all. Kathy

Time has passed to be sure, but you Joan and family miss him just as much today as you did yesterday. But our faith tells us he is safe and loved in heaven where he is watching us still and laughing with our earthly errors! Know that others are saying prayers for you all this day! Kathy Coleman

Jack "one shot" Barr. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. My family & I have so many fond memories shared with you. You've been a part of our family as long as I can remember. Our many hunting trips to Maine & NY just wouldn't have been the same without you. You always made us laugh, wether it was your Pinocle play or your grilling expertise. 7 more minutes. 7 rib eyes burnt to a crisp. We ate them anyway, we just needed a few more pounders to help wash it down. You will always be with us in our hearts, no one can ever take that away.

Joan & family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in these troubled times.. Jack had been part of my life for over 40 years. We coached Peewees together in the early 70's, enjoyed Lions Club together, and hunting. What fond memories over all these years. A Wilson football game won't be the same. One of my greatest pleasures in hunting was when Jack shot his big buck in NY. He was always my Pinochle partner on all our trips. I can honestly say we didn't loose that often and I have the score sheets to prove it. Loosing Jack is like loosing part of our family because we have been together for so many years. We and I especially will truly miss him. He was so fun to be with all the time. Never a person to get down in life right to the end. May you rest in peace my friend. Seven minutes will live forever in my heart. Love you. Al & family.

Scott (and entire family): Although I've known you since our Fairview days, I met your father while in my 20's and he was a sales rep. I always asked him about you and your sisters. He would share stories of you with such pride. He really loved all of you. Relish all your memories of him and pass them on. Take comfort knowing that he will always be with you. Thinking of you all. Dear Barr Family,
I enjoyed working with Jack many years ago when I was a metermaid and he worked in the fire dept. I spent a lot of time during the night watching female prisoners on the monitor and listening to all of Jack's stories. He was so well loved by his fellow employees and friends. My heart is saddened that he isn't here anymore, but it is also happy that he is released from all his discomfort and is joined in heaven with a lot of his fellow co-workers. They are having a reunion and celebration and someday when it's my time, I'll will join in on the good old days with them. Until, we see each other again Jack, rest easy dear sweet man.

Jack, you go way back with our family. It seemed like yesterday you were on the sidelines cheering me on during football games back in high school. You were always part of our family. The many deer seasons we spent together up the mountains and then later you were with us on our Maine and New York trips. Never forget your big buck you shot in NY our first year. I'm glad you were able to make it to mom and dads big anniversary dinner and to our picnics this summer. I also enjoyed selling fried dough next to you at the fair over the years. Your "how bout a treaty for your sweetie" got them every time. Huntin' won't be the same without you but I know you'll be there with us anyway.
