Luisa Melendez
AGE: 62 • Vineland
Luisa Melendez, 62, of Vineland, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday August 13, 2015 after battling cancer for several months. She was born on August 5th, 1953 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Juana Tirado and Luis Sagardia. She graduated from Jose De Diego High School and later earned a bachelors degree in business administration at Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. On November 21st, 1990 she married Rev. Leonardo Melendez and together they went on to found the Camino A La Salvacion Church in Bridgeton, New Jersey in 2002. She dedicated most of her time fund-raising and managing the church. Her favorite hobbies included cooking, sowing and spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband Rev. Leonardo Melendez; her five children, Luis Mounier, Tania Badillo, Christian Matias, Bryan Matias and Veronica Nunez; her seven grandchildren and her brother Israel Sagardia of Puerto Rico. A Church Visitation will be held on Monday from 12pm to 1pm followed by Funeral Services at 1pm from Rock Of Salvation Church, 513 Grape Street, Vineland. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
