I was deeply saddened to hear of Don's passing. I send my most sincere condolences to his family. Don and I were high school classmates and fellow members of the Wilson High School football and baseball teams as well as the Lester Pfeffer baseball squad. He was a good friend and my roommate when we played the Curtisville Legion team in Pittsburgh. Don was also an excellent guard on Wilson's Lehigh-Northampton League's championship basketball team in 1950. He was an outstanding athlete, but even more importantly a fantastic person. Don will most certainly be missed, but I hope his family members will take comfort in the fact that he led an exemplary life. It was a privilege to have Don as a friend. May God bless Don and provide comfort to his family members during this time of grief.
