Elsie Funderburk ROCK HILL - Mrs. Elsie Drawdy Funderburk, of Rock Hill, S.C., died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at Wolfe Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the burial at Wolfe Funeral Home. Born in Lancaster, Mrs. Funderburk was a daughter of the late Charles Drawdy and Gertrude Hunter. She loved working with the S.C. Employment Security Commission as a receptionist and formerly attended the Fort Mill Church of God. She loved her family and the Lord. Mrs. Funderburk enjoyed cooking and watching the Home Shopping Network and Lifetime Network. Surviving are three daughters, Dianne Melton and Cindy Shafer, both of Rock Hill, and Donna Fogle of Gaston, S.C.; her sister, Hazel Drawdy Smith of Fort Mill; three grandchildren, Kim Floyd of Charlotte, Tonya Bernard of Rock Hill and Jesse Shafer of Rock Hill; and three great-grandchildren, Jordan Bernard of Rock Hill, Kristin Patton of Cullowhee and Madison Floyd of Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy "Junior" Drawdy. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care for the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, P.O. Dianne, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I know how much you loved your mother, but now she is happy and at peace in the Lord. My prayer is that God will be near and you will feel His love more than ever during the days and months ahead. God Bless.
