William "Bill" Lohinecz
AGE: 81 • Betterton, MD
William "Bill" Lohinecz, age 81, of Betterton, MD, passed away peacefully Monday, August 17, 2015. Bill was born in Nesquehoning, PA, to the late Andrew and Anna (Benyo) Lohinecz. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Bill was actively involved with his local Disabled American Veterans chapter his entire life. He loved Big Band music, the Boston Red Sox, Green Bay Packers, and Republican Party. Bill adored his daughter, Anita, and cherished all the quality time they could share together.
Bill is survived by his 2 daughters, Anita Lohinecz and wife Dorca, and Natalie Peron; and son, William David Wilson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Olga and Margaret; and 2 brothers, Andrew and Michael.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2015 from 10-11 AM in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Bill's life at 11 AM. Burial will be Monday, August 24, 2015 at 10 AM in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Disabled American Veterans, VFW Post 475, 100 Veterans Dr., Newark, DE 19711.
