BURLINGTON - Ms. Christine Graves, 80, of 108 Rolling Hills Road, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was the daughter of Roosevelt Graves and Nannie Jones Graves Daye, both deceased. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Nathaniel Graves, Edward Lee Graves and Richard Graves; three sisters, Frances Graves, Jeanette Graves Miles, and Daisy Graves Miles.
Ms. Graves is survived by her loving sister, Nannie Graves Sellars of the home; Goddaughter, Ann Kimber of Burlington; one stepbrother, Kenneth Daye of Baltimore, MD; two stepsisters, Peggy Rone of Baltimore, MD and Jannie Little of AK; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Stoney Creek AME Church with the Rev. Jonathan Richardson officiating and the Rev. James Swain conducting the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the residence. Her public viewing will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015, at the funeral home from 1 to 8 p.m.
