Southaven - Ralph Gaines Slocum, 95, of Southaven, passed away August 20, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto. Mr. Slocum was a WWII veteran having served in the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Lee Slocum; brothers, Ray R. Slocum, Jr. and David A. Slocum. He is survived by his sisters, Betty Jane Kellum of Tupelo, MS and Jewell James of Macon, GA. Services will be held Saturday, August 22, at 2 p.m. at Goodman Oaks Church of Christ in Southaven where he was a member. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Coldwater, MS. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Memorials may be sent to Goodman Oaks Church of Christ, 1700 Goodman Rd E., Southaven, MS 38671.
