ADDISON - Paul N. "Nick" Cascarelly, age 86 of Addison, passed away on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at his home.
He was born on July 25, 1929, in Auburn, Ind., to Paul and Thelma L. (Farrington) Cascarelly. He married Betty J. Brown on May 28, 1955, in Angola, Ind., and she survives.
Paul lived his early life in Auburn, Ind., then he lived in Hillsdale, and afterward he moved to Addison in 1975. Paul graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1947. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Navy for four years. He was employed by Krieghoff Company in Adrian, where he was a mason, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed painting and woodworking.
Surviving besides his wife, Betty, are two sisters, Nancy Cascarelly of Glendale, Calif., and Anita White of Chino, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Sandy (Kenneth) Houghton and Judy (Keith) Houghton; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Rose Moyahan.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison with Elder Kurt Butler officiating. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery in Addison. The visitation will be from 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, until the time of the service.
