A unique set of circumstances has found four of the Murphy siblings in Burlington, Vermont, a thousand miles from the services for our beloved Uncle Bud. We've been having our own memorial, with stories a plenty, the occasional laugh, and a few tears. He was an incredible man, of great physical and moral strength, extraordinary intelligence, quick wit, and warm heart. He was the last man standing from his generation, and his like may not be seen again. In short, he is one of the finest men it has been my privilege to know. He will be sorely missed, but fondly remembered.

Bud was an amazing man. He was a great provider for his family and a loving father and grandfather. I wish there were more men in the world with his humility, selflessness, and compassion.
