Shirley Hall, age 74 of Marengo, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on Sunday evening August 30, 2015.
She was born on February 13, 1941 in Viper, Kentucky to the late Ray and Evelyn (Young) Adams. She has been a resident of Ohio since 1960 coming from Kentucky. She was a member of the Centerburg Free Will Baptist Church.
Shirley loved her family and looked forward to the family dinner, reunions and the Friday night get together with her brothers and sisters playing rook. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking especially chicken and dumplings and watching western movies. Shirley was a beautiful, fun loving lady who was loved by all who knew her. Shirley treasured Sunday dinners with her family, garage sales, winters in Florida, playing corn hole and being the two year corn hole champion at the family reunions.
She is survived by her son: Jim Caudill of Waldo; daughters: Debbie (Joe) Curren of Daytona Beach, Tammy (Terry) Roush of Waldo, Amy (Les) Cumbo of Cardington, Paula Caudill of Waldo, Tina Caudill of Waldo; 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; brothers: Archie (Glenna) Adams of Marengo, John (Kathy) Adams of Mount Gilead, Dan Adams of Iberia; sisters: Bonnie (Harvey) Moore of Centerburg, Dora Caudill of Marengo, Martha (Don) Newell of Marion, Mary (Jerry) Newell of Marion; brother-in-law: Herman Adkins of Fredericktown; sister-in-law: Billie Adams of Marengo; former husband: James Caudill of Columbus.
Shirley was preceded in death by husband JP Hall, brother: Gene Adams; sisters: Aggie Adkins, Linda Adams; brother-in-law: Astor Caudill.
Friends may call Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 4-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held Thursday 11 a.m. with interment to follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
