It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Roger Hedges. Roger will be dearly missed by daughters: Cara (Kevin) Toth and Valerie (Wayne) Walcheske. "Papa" forever remembered by: Spencer, Abby, Sydney and Ashlyn. Roger was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Barbara, in June 2012. He worked for Trans Alta for 31 years taking an early retirement and enjoyed every minute of it. Thirteen of those retirement years and thousands of miles mom and dad travelled North America in their truck and trailer meeting new friends and experiencing many adventures. Over his lifetime he enjoyed hiking, mountain climbing, model airplanes, construction, camping, golfing, dancing, and any project that needed attention. Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 1407 7th Avenue NW, Calgary. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Street and unit 38 at PLC. I did not know that Roger had been ill so this has been a shock to me. I saw him at SneakaPeek in July and had a short visit. We had a phone chat when we were in the Palm Springs area in March and by the time I called to set up a rendezvous... he was in AZ. My thoughts are with you, the family.
