Hansel Joseph Trosclair, at the age of 88, passed away at his home on September 11, 2015 at 10:23AM. He was a native and resident of Chackbay, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 8:30AM until funeral time at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM, at the church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ethel Landry Trosclair. Together they have four sons; Keith Joseph and wife Amy, Darryl Joseph and wife Cheryl, Barry James and wife Gayle, Mark Andrew and wife Lisa; 7 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Nolan Trosclair; sister, Grace Becnel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Xavier Joseph and Hortense Nicholas Trosclair; brothers, Milton and Ray Trosclair. He served in the U.S. Army as a cannoneer in the 339th Field Artillery Battalion, from 1945-1947, in Italy and through out Europe. He was hired on by Southern Bell on November 2, 1950 and retired from South Central Bell after 33 years of service on July 23, 1983. Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
