KATIE HILDA WISMAN Katie Hilda Wisman, age 85, of Wilmington passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice. She was born July 5, 1930 in Lumberton, North Carolina the daughter of the late Jetter Branch and Orrie Jones Branch. The youngest of twelve children she was preceded in death by her eleven siblings and her husband, Noland C. Wisman. Hilda was a long time member of Long Leaf Baptist Church, active with the AREME Chapter 372 and the Ladies of the Arab Shrine Club. Later in life she worked at the local Walmart in Monkey Junction. Surviving are her three sons, Eugene Collins Jr. and wife Bonnie and Julius Collins and wife Paulette, both of Wilmington, NC, and T.K O'Connor and wife Yolanda of Monroe, NC; daughter, Bea Eubanks and husband Jimmy of Wilmington, NC; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Long Leaf Baptist Church, 317 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401 or Long Leaf Baptist Church.
