Aunt jo,
I will never forget your honesty, directness, sense of humor..your infectious laughter and loving smiles..your strength...love for your family...and most of all the role model you were as a single mom ....how much you loved your boys....when you were first diagnosed.....you took it on the way you had with the rest of your life...with courage strength and laughter..amazing...I am so glad we reconnected and that you felt relief knowing someone who loved you was there watching over you during that time...I love you aunt jo you will be missed.

Aunt Joanne, you were one of the best people I've ever known. I have never seen anyone smile through struggle the way you did, and you always knew how to make me laugh. I remember how excited you were about the little things.. like when you finally had a "big strong man" at your apt to fix your curtain.. or how happy you were when we got you the flowers for your table. I told you once when I visited, that you were my hero. I still believe that. I am truly blessed to call you family. It would be harder to come to terms with the fact that you are gone if you had not assured me that you were ready and willing. You smiled at me once and said "I had a talk with myself and I know that this is what I want". I knew then how sure you were. You lived a long and happy life and you have touched the lives of all of those around you. I love you so much and although I will miss you, I know (because you reassured me) that you are in a much better place. May you rest in peace. XOXO
