Anderson Sr., Walter Douglas 'Cricket' Walter Douglas "Cricket" Anderson Sr., a resident of Algiers, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on Sat., Sept. 26, 2015 at the age of 70. He was the beloved son of the late Phillip Jr. and the late Dorothy Carter Anderson; loving husband of Gwendolyn Williams Anderson; caring father of Pamela A. (Terrill) Jones, Walter Anderson Jr. of Moss Point, MS and Frank (Tonia) Mitchell Sr. of Houston, TX; grandfather of Jonathan, Terrell, and Anthony Anderson, Frank Brown, Francis and Frank Mitchell Jr.; brother of Patricia (Steve) Dunning of Gulfport, MS, Larry (France) Sr., Curtis (Debra) Anderson Sr., Cynthia (Larry) Warner, and the late Doris (Jimmy) Watts; son-in-law of Warren Williams and Sarah Williams Harrison; brother-in-law of Chris (Wanda) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Harold (Linda), and Jacqueline Williams (Paul H.); Godfather of Fredrick Anderson; and also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family; also pastors, officers, and members of Second Nazarene, Second Baptist, Asbury Methodist Church, and all neighboring churches; and employees of Tulane Cancer Center, Rouses #36, Harrah's Casino, All Plastic & Fiberglass, Four Points by Sheraton in the French Quarter, and Goodman Manufacture of Texas are invited to attend the funeral services at Second Nazarene Baptist Church, 3062 Boyd St., Algiers, LA 70114 on Sat., Oct. 3, 2015 at 10 am. Pastor Peter Crawford, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8 am until service time. Interment at Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Professional Services Entrusted to Murray Henderson Funeral Home.
