Langenhuizen, Lyle G.
Lyle G. Langenhuizen, age 64 of the Town of Wyoming, Waupaca County, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
Lyle was born on November 21, 1950 in Kimberly, WI as the son of the late George and Ila Mae (Friebel) Langenhuizen. He graduated from Kimberly High School in 1969 and earned a degree in Carpentry from Fox Valley Tech. Throughout his life, Lyle became an awesome carpenter; starting from his early days working for his father's carpentry business. He took pride in building his current home by hand with the materials his land provided. Lyle worked for a few different places during his career, was a member of the Carpenter Local 955 Union, and retired in 2006. He was an avid outdoorsman; spending countless hours hunting and fishing. Lyle was also a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially when it came to time with his grandchildren. He was a great step-father and a good friend to many.
Survivors include: his stepsons, Robert Hanselman, Kiel; & Bill (Angie) Hanselman, Neenah; grandchildren, Payton & Chase Hanselman; sisters, Nancy Langenhuizen, Appleton; Jane (Vic) Werner, Hortonville; & Lori (Jim) Van Dyke, Kimberly; brothers, Tom (Jean) Langenhuizen, Kimberly; Ron (Delilah) Langenhuizen, Tuscon, AZ; Mark (LuAnn) Langenhuizen, Kaukauna; special friend, Mary Hedtke, Appleton.
Lyle was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his maternal & paternal grandparents.
A celebration of Lyle's Life will be held Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 1 PM - 3 PM at the Northwinds Banquet Hall, 1103 N. Main Street, Marion, WI 54950. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Marion is assisting his family with the arrangements. An online guestbook for Lyle can be found at www.eberhardtstevenson.com.
