I learned of Jim's passing this morning on Facebook from Connie Reeds who was a Jennings High School classmate (1958), whose husband, Ron, was a friend of Jim's. Very sad to hear this. Jim and I were good friends while active members of West Florissant Baptist Church. Together we planned some special events sponsored by the young people, including the annual Sweetheart Banquet where he and I were elected as king and queen...I still have some great pictures with him from the late 50s and early 60s. I was always very fond of him and have wondered what his life and family were like...it appears that he had a wonderful family and full, happy life. I left St. Louis many years ago and have lived in Southwest Missouri since where I graduated from college, married and have one daughter and two wonderful grandchildren. Again, my sincere condolences on your loss. He was just a great guy and friend.

Judy, my condolences to you and your family. I remember Jim as a football teammate and just an outstanding member of our class. There has been a loss of personal contact over the years but memories not forgotten. Take care and my families prayers for you and your family are being sent your way.

Judy, My heart aches for you and everyone who was blessed by having Jim in our lives and saddened by his passing. Jim is in heaven and at peace. I take some comfort in knowing my Jim is so happy to be joined again with his "best friend".

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Thanks to the open door policy at the Wedgwood Estate over the years Mr and Mrs H became second parents to many. I heard it once said Mr H had the largest TV aerial on the block and never bragged about it. That's the type of man he was.
