Rose Irma Mack Williams A beautiful life of service to God and others was called to an end on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, when Rose Irma Mack Williams was called from labor to a peaceful reward. Daughter of the late Rev. George Mack, Sr. and Olivia Williams. Rose received a master's degree in nursing from the University of Michigan. She worked as a nurse at Touro Infirmary, Veterans Administration and Charity Hospitals in New Orleans, Louisiana. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, James Williams, Sr.; 4 brothers, Milton, Rev. George, Jr., Clarence and Robert Mack; 4 sisters, Mable Mack Richardson, Virginia Ragas, Alice Mack Turner and Mary Mack Encalade. She also leaves to mourn her passing, one son, James Williams, Jr., grandchildren, Terralyn (Jacques) Landry, Jermaine (Kenyatta) Banks, great grandchildren, Jermaine, Jeremiah and Alexandria Banks, caregivers, nephew, Fred (Elma) Richardson; 2 nieces, Stella Richardson (Murve) Sapp and Carol Encalade LaFrance; 1 brother-in-law, Alvin Williams and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastor, officers and members of St. John Divine B.C. are all invited to attend a Funeral Service at St. John Divine B.C., 1763 N. Derbigny St. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Rev. Kenneth Speaks, officiating. Interment: Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangement by D.W. My Great-Aunt Rose was one of the sweetest, smartest, & loving women of God that graced this Earth. I'm happy my daddy & Tee Stella were able to care for their mother's baby sister, without complaint. What a blessing you have been; and now God has received His child on home!
