Jan Czyzewski
AGE: 69 • Old Bridge Township
Jan Czyzewski, 69, of Old Bridge Township, died Friday, October 9th at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge.
Jan was born in Ulm, Germany and raised in Wroclaw, Poland, before coming to the United States in 1989 with his wife and two youngest daughters to live his dream and to provide for a better life for his family, which he did. Jan lived in Spotswood and Sayreville before settling in Old Bridge earlier this year. For more than twenty years, he was a bricklayer with MTT Corporation of East Brunswick, retiring in 2010. While living in Poland, Jan worked as a warehouse manager before starting his own fruit and vegetable store in the early 1980's. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, mushroom picking and, he was an avid freshwater fisherman. Above all, Jan was an amazing husband and father and he will be missed deeply.
He is survived by his wife of thirty three years, Ewa; his mother, Czeslawa Czezewska of Poland; his children, Lucyna Lefebure and her husband, Pierre, of Paris, France, Anna Osinski and her husband Dariusz, of Helmetta, Slawomir Czyzewski of Poland and, Malgorzata Czyzewska of Old Bridge; a sister, Krystina Ziolkowska of Poland, and; his grandchildren, Patrycia, Anita, Michelle and Teofil.
Funeral services and cremation will be private under the direction of Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 24th from Holy Trinity Church, 60 Main Street, Helmetta.
