Munoz, Barbara E.
DeForest - Barbara E. Munoz, age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, surrounded by family. She was born on September 3, 1938, to Even and Inez (Anderson) Evenson in Superior, Wisconsin. She graduated from Superior Central High School in 1956 and worked as a bookkeeper at the Superior Evening Telegram Newspaper. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Barbara married Augusto Munoz on March 19, 1960, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Superior, Wisconsin. They moved to Merrill, Wisconsin in 1960 and resided there until they moved to DeForest in 1978.
She is survived by her husband, Augusto; her sons, Scott and Jeffrey (Shyrine) and grandson, Devon; family friend, Steven Baker; and relatives and close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, with Monsignor Charles Schluter officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church. A luncheon will follow Mass.
The family expresses their gratitude to Dr. Robert Gage and his staff, and to the caring and dedicated staff at Agrace HospiceCare.
