Robert M. Blackmar SOUTH RIVER Robert M. Blackmar, 61, of South River, NJ, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the University Medical Center at Plainsboro. Born in Queens, NY, Robert grew up in Hicksville, L.I., NY, had lived in (and loved) San Diego for 10 years, and had resided in South River. He worked for the Museum of Modern Art, South River Distribution Center. Bob was very active in the Battle Against Hunger, and started "Team Diane" for the American Heart Association. Son of the late Kenneth Blackmar, Bob is survived by his mother, Dorothy Gostkowski Blackmar; his brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Deborah Blackmar of North Fort Myers, FL, and Christopher and Penny Blackmar of Claremore, OK; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Frances and Fred Mellon of Sea Isle City, NJ, and Kathleen Farley and Bill Lewis of Gansevoort, NY; nieces, Jennifer, Kierra and Patricia; nephews, Brian, Paul, John, Timothy, Matthew, Gregory, and Christopher, and nine great-nieces and nephews. A Requiem Eucharist service will be held on Monday, Nov. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 300 S. Main St., Pennington, NJ. The viewing will be Sunday, Nov. 22, from 5-7 p.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington. Burial will be private. Condolences are welcome at www.wilsonapple.com.
