Anne Deery Foret, of Covington, LA, died on November 23, 2015. Anne Foret, daughter of Charles Bear and Enid Russell Bear, loving wife of Irenee Joseph Foret, passed away in Covington, LA. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Joe; one daughter, Margaret Anne Foret Laborde; and three sons, Robert Paul Foret, Charles James Foret and David Joseph Foret. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Anne was born on February 29, 1924, in Baltimore, Maryland, and being an "Army Brat," spent her early years at various Army posts throughout the country. She was raised by her mother and step-father, Col. James Deery. In the early forties, she went to both Stephen's College in Missouri and the University of Texas at Austin. It was right after the war that she met the love of her life, Joe Foret, in Alexandria, LA, and they were married in New Orleans in April of 1949. After living in Alexandria, LA, Lufkin, TX, Beaumont ,TX, Lake Charles, LA, and Overland Park, KS, they settled in Covington, LA, in 1967, where they spent the next 48 years. Anne was a woman with a strong constitution, an engaging personality, and a quick wit, all of which resulted in her having a wide circle of friends. She was the backbone of her family, and a caring and selfless person who always put her family's well being and happiness ahead of any other consideration. While she will be truly missed, she will not be forgotten, as her legacy lives on. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Tish and Geraldine, for their love, compassion, and respect they showed to Anne. A private Memorial Mass will be held Friday, November 27, 2015, at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington.
