Koper, Helen 92, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2015. Born May 1, 1923 in North Chicago. Helen along with her husband owned and operated Koper Foods in the Old Polish section of North Chicago for 32 years. Helen loved to cook and had many favorite polish dishes that she prepared. She loved getting her nails polished and hair done. She still maintained weekly hair appointments. Helen always had a mirror and comb within an arm's reach. Above all, Helen loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by so many. Survivors include her loving son and care giver Thomas Koper and loving son Steve Koper of Arizona. Five grandchildren, Mike Koper, Cathy Miscenic, Laura (Ralph) Strathmann, Joseph (Carleigh) Koper, Mandy (Shane) Gruchow; nine great-grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss her sense of humor and kind soul. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Koper in 2013. They were married for 70 wonderful years.
