Wiley Rhodum Campbell

Smarr . . . Wiley Rhodum Campbell passed away Monday, January 11, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Forsyth with burial in New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Smarr, Georgia.  Rev. Martin Dillon will officiate.  The family will greet friends the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.  Mr. Campbell, the son of the late Quincy Warren Campbell and Rosa Bell Pritchett Campbell was born December 6, 1933, in Juliette, Georgia. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and was a veteran of the United States Army.  His first wife, Polly Ham Campbell preceded him in death.  Mr. Campbell was a member and deacon at Dames Ferry Baptist Church, a member of Monroe County Exchange Club and a board member of Monroe County Club House.  Survivors include his wife, Dianne Mackey Jenkins Campbell of Smarr; children, Michael (Sherrie) Campbell of Watkinsville and Alan Lane (Tamela) Campbell of Colbert; step-daughter, Julie (Allan) Brannan of Jackson; sister, Patsy C. Fort of Forsyth; grandchildren, Ivan Campbell, Thomas Campbell, Beth Anne Mahaffey, Claire Campbell, Callie Brannan and Isaac Campbell.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation to Dames Ferry Baptist Church, PO Box 1143, Forsyth, GA 31029. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
