ROBERT S. KOHL, 88, of Masonic Village; formerly of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016, in the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.
Robert served in WWII, in Okinawa, and returned to Harrisburg and began work in auto repair. In 1980 he opened his own shop, Kohl's Auto Service, which he closed in 1995. He was actively involved in the Masons, serving as Master in many lodges - Knights Templar, Harrisburg Consistory, Perseverance Lodge 21 F&AM, Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forrest 43, The Reading Lodge, and The Elks. Upon closing his shop, he moved to the Masonic Village.
He leaves behind his wife of 19 years, JoAnna; his sons, Bob Jr. and Garth; and his daughters, Karen and Donna.
A Masonic Service will be held at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, February 9, 2016, in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to the Masonic Village, 1 Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022-2199.
