Rita I. Lauridsen, 75, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Life Care Center of Longmont, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 21, 1940 in Denmark to Aage Ejvind and Erna Inga (Hansen) Damgaard and lived in Herning, Denmark until moving to the USA in 1965. Rita has lived in Nebraska, Wyoming and Ohio moving to Colorado in 1973 from Columbus, OH. Rita worked as a bank teller for the IBM Credit Union. She found a new profession as a travel agent and worked for Ambassador Travel in Longmont and then Cain Travel in Boulder. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rita loved travelling all over the world and enjoyed the outdoors and the mountains whether walking, hiking or skiing. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Rita is survived by her daughter Charlotte Kennerly (Dave) of Oswego, IL. son Peter Lauridsen (Shannon Cline) of Golden, CO and two grandchildren Alex and Christian Kennerly. A private family service will be held. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
