Virginia Eileene Farmer Dulaney, age 90, of Gillsville, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, April 21, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Dulaney was born Aug. 3, 1925, in Knoxville, Tenn. to Raymond Farmer and Irene Crocker Farmer. She was a retired nurse and was a member of Free Chapel. Ms. Dulaney was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Johnny McWhorter and William Cecil Dulaney II.
Ms. Dulaney is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Jamie Hansley of Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Blackwell and Darrell Hullett of Gillsville; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Janet McWhorter of Roanoke, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Joanna and Robbie Robbins of Lincolnton, N.C.; grandchildren, Karen Bartlett, Kris Kirtley, Tammy McWhorter, Bethany King, Merinda Blackwell, Toni White, Emily Kinney, Charles Buice; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
