Frank R. Garrick
AGE: 81 • Sayreville
Frank R. Garrick, age 81 of Sayreville, passed away peacefully on Monday April 18, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jersey City, Frank lived in Hoboken before moving to Sayreville 40 years ago. Frank was a second generation police officer with the Hoboken Police Department, retiring as a Captain after 29 years on the force. He proudly served with his brothers and sisters in blue and had a tremendous work ethic. He was a US Army Veteran and a member of the Sayreville American Legion Post 211. Frank was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville.
He is predeceased by his parents Francis Xavier and Minnie Garrick (the proud Godparents of Frank Sinatra), his son Frank and his brother Sonny.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years, the former Anna Murawski, his cherished children Christopher Garrick and his wife Jannett Pacheco of Howell, Scot Anthony and his wife Chrissy of Little Egg Harbor, Alicia Mary of Howell, his grandchildren Anthony, Mackenzie, Christopher, Gianna, Brian, Hannah, Jacob, Graceanna, George and his nephews James and his wife Rena Garrick and Robert Garrick.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 10:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main St Sayreville with an 11am mass to follow at St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will take place at the NJ Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
