Goldie A. (Heffner) Carl, age 78, of Longswamp Township, died on Thursday, April 21, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, where she was a patient since January 9, 2016. Goldie was the wife of Richard G. Carl. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on January 7, 2016. Born in Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Verna (Mest) Heffner. She was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Fleetwood (Rockland Township). Goldie worked as a folder at the former Royal Manufacturing, Alburtis, for two years. Following her short stint at Royal Manufacturing, Goldie was a homemaker, caring for her family. Goldie enjoyed attending and supporting her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Goldie was an avid trap shooter, enjoyed gardening and participating in the annual Brandywine Minstrel shows. Survivors: Survivors: In addition to her husband of 60 years, Richard, Goldie is survived by her four children, Donna J. (Carl) Moore, Fleetwood, Randy A., husband of Louise (Andersen) Carl, Topton, Alan R., husband of Sherrie L. (Arndt) Carl, Mertztown, and Danita A. (Carl ) Fenstermacher, Topton. Other survivors include two sisters, Faye (Heffner), wife of Willard Barto, Mertztown and Betty (Heffner), widow of Roger Stump, Emmaus; brothers, Carl, husband of Joan (Conrad) Heffner, Allentown and Paul, husband of Elaine (Ely) Heffner, Kutztown; eight grandchildren, Jonna L. Moore, Erik A. Carl, Danita J. Moore, Tyler A. Carl, Jackie N. Carl, Zachary W. Fenstermacher, Logan M. Fenstermacher and McKaide R. Fenstermacher; and three great grandchildren, Landen J. Fenstermacher, Beckett T. Carl and Camden A. Carl. Goldie was predeceased by a brother, Lee Heffner and a sister, Jean (Heffner) Miller. Services: Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 27 Lyons Road, Fleetwood, with Reverend Ruth F. Doty officiating. Interment will follow in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Rockland Township. Relatives and friends may call on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the church. Contributions: The family requests contributions be made in Goldie's memory to New Jerusalem Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 27 Lyons Road, Fleetwood, PA 19522. So very sorry for your loss. I will always remember how she asked me about if we would be in the Topton Halloween Parade.. Your reunion will a little more sad with out her.. Always had so much fun..
