Thomas V. DiSilvio, M.D., died peacefully on April 26, 2016 with his wife and family at his bedside. Born May 13, 1939 in Sharon, Pa., Tom was the only child of the late Josephine Cousintine and Thomas V. DiSilvio of Farrell, Pa.
Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Degnan DiSilvio and their children, Thomas DiSilvio and sons, Jack and James of Watertown, Mass.; Claire DiSilvio and Curt Binder, and sons, Luke and Ian of Stow, Ohio; Peter DiSilvio and Mary Ellen Calpin of Newfane, N.Y.
Tom especially enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors, the natural world and books with his beloved grandsons.
The family would like to thank all of the dedicated caregivers who lovingly helped Tom in his final years, particularly Thomas Fowler and Didier Kibabu Poso.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated May 2 at 11 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 136 Locust St., Burlington.
