Bessie Bliziotes, 93, passed away April 28, 2016, at her home in Palm Coast, Florida. She was born in Warren, Ohio, to Christos and Maria Koutsokotas. She was a devout member of the Greek Orthodox faith and was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was married to the late John M. Bliziotes, who predeceased her in 1971. She was devoted to her family and was a very active member of the woman's church auxiliaries, as well as helping in schools, libraries, hospitals, and nursing homes.
She is survived by her children Bonnie (Ernest) Koutouzakis and Joanna (Paul) Haines; grandchildren John (Gillian)Koutouzakis, Michael (Juliana) Koutouzakis, Daniel Koutouzakis, Jaime (John) Remedios, Maribeth (Brian) Davis; great-grandchildren Alexandra, Sophia, Katherine, Jacob and Ethan, and many other loving family and friends. She will remain always in our hearts, thoughts and prayers.
There will be a viewing and Trisagion Prayers 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Craig Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. The Committal Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Gainesville, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church or to Vitas Hospice of Palm Coast would be appreciated.
Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park (www.craigfuneralhome.com) is in charge of arrangements.
