ANGOLA — Todd D. (Dude) Hennessey, age 55, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016, at home after a lengthy illness.
Born May 12, 1960 in Angola, Indiana, he was the son of Gerald & Mary Ann (Nichols) Hennessey.
Todd loved watching sports, especially his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers and his favorite NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin. One could often hear Todd and his mother yelling at the TV as they cheered and coached from the sidelines.
Todd also loved the outdoors and spent many vacations with his grandparents at KP Lake in Michigan, enjoying fishing, swimming, and mushrooming. Going to the casino and attending concerts were also on his list of fun things to do, and he especially enjoyed seeing his favorite band AC/DC.
Todd remained a hippie at heart throughout his life and loved his long hair. There were many occasions where he helped a child by cutting his own hair and donating it to Locks of Love.
Todd was a man who faithfully maintained his sense of humor and never gave up on life, even on the bad days. He loved spending time with his family, especially his little nieces, who will surely miss their Uncle Toddy. He leaves a void in the hearts of all his family and the friends who knew him well.
In addition to his mother Mary Ann Burlew of Angola, survivors include: a brother, Marty (Barb) Muse of Fremont; and sisters, Kim Heffelfinger of Angola, and Misse Muse of Fremont. Todd also leaves: nephews, Kodi Bater, Kevin Heffelfinger and Nolan Tracey; nieces, Tiffani (Tomas Platter) Bater, Danielle (Brian) Ford and Sara Tracey; great nieces, Taja Bater, Tozlin Bater and Telissa Bater; and best friends, Roger & Martica Lowe.
Todd was preceded in death by: his father Gerald; step-father Ron Muse; grandparents, including JQ & Leona Nichols; aunts, Kathryn Elkins and Eunice Gibbeny; as well as his brother-in-law Jim Heffelfinger.
There will be a private family graveside service at Fremont Cemetery, with Pastor Norm Fuller officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NASCAR VICTORY JUNCTION GANG CAMP for children with disabilities or Fairview Missionary Church.
Condolences may be sent online to beamsfuneralhome.com.
Arrangements are under the direction of Beams Funeral Home of Fremont.

Mary Ann, I am so sorry for your loss. Todd made such an impact on me! I know you aren't supposed to have favorites, but I always looked forward to working with Todd in the parallel bars. I loved having him choose the music, and filling the therapy room with AC/DC and any other 70's metal bands that he requested that day! I loved talking about the UP, pasties, and his exciting adventures! I am so blessed to have met him!!! Margaret Bronson
