Kestler, Daniel,
84, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, May 05, 2016 at his home with family by his side.
Daniel had retired from American Air Filter where he had 41 years of service; was a Mason; a member of the ACUAW; a volunteer at Southeast Associated Ministries for 15 years; and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Mary E. Kestler; daughters, Vicki L. Pilcher and Danni G. Kiefner; sister, Hyacinth Howard; niece Jeannie Katz; grandchildren, Terra French, Erin Owens, Loren Pilcher, Amy Kiefner, and Allison Kiefner-Burmeister; as well as two great grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at 6 PM on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, where visitation will be 2 - 6 PM. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow his service.
Donations may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society in his memory. Online condolences may be directed to www.ratterman.com.

Danny was such a wonderful friend to my mom and dad. The camping trips together in years past with Danny and Mary provided them with great memories. Mary, Vicki, and Danni, know that your husband and dad was a great friend and will be missed.
