Roy Mullinax Obituary

Roy Gene Mullinax, Sr., 72, of 1651 Scenic View Road passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Dellinger officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 6 - 8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home in York.

Roy was a son of the late Monroe Childers and Nora Dickson Pinson. He was retired from Meritor, Inc. and was a member of the South Carolina National Guard.

He is survived by his wife Mattie Sue Byrum Mullinax of Hickory Grove, SC, son Roy Gene Mullinax, Jr. of Blacksburg, SC, daughter Lynn R. Nivens of Smyrna, SC, grandchildren, Tyler Nivens, Hunter Nivens, Christopher Mullinax, and Jason Mullinax, and three great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by granddaughter Kelly Marie Mullinax, great grandson Aidyn Nivens, brother Marvin Mullinax, and sister Elwanda Mabry.
