YORK COUNTY - Diana Ericson slipped into eternal rest on Monday, May 23, 2016. She was born Oct. 29, 1945 in Hampton to Raymond and Vernice Cooper. She worked as a LPN, moved to York County in 1992, and found her niche at Tidewater Orthopaedics where she retired in 2006. She loved cooking, baking all those cakes, brownies, sticky buns, and peanut butter balls for Christmas, but her greatest love was her family. Diana was preceded in death by Raymond & Vernice (parents), Dorothy &Ted (mama & uncle), and youngest son Billy. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John; son, Bobby Ericson; two granddaughters, Brittany Ericson and Chelsea Ericson, and three great-grandchildren. John and Ericson family, I can't express enough how sorry I am for your loss. All though I never met Diana, I have heard how great of a woman she was from Brittany. I know that she will be missed by many, but she will be celebrated and always remembered. I hope that the family is able to get through this tough time and remember that Diana will always be there watching over you all and will always be there for you to talk to.
