Sally Deignan Campagna, 57, passed away on, Wednesday, May 25, 2016, in Norwich, N.Y., after a long, hard battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Richard Campagna for 38 years, and incredible mother to her sons.
Born in Scranton on Dec. 29, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anne Kearney Deignan. She was a 1976 graduate of Dunmore High School, and earned a bachelor's degree in fine art with high honors from Towson State University. She was a talented artist and avid golfer.
She was married on April 29, 1978, and devoted her life to raising three exceptional sons. Her family was always first and foremost in her life. She also worked as a banker, real estate agent and managed the custom framing department in a craft store.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Campagna of Norwich, N.Y.; sons, Richard, Ryan and Nicholas, all residing in Northern California; her beloved grandchildren, Brooke and Dominic; sisters, Mary Ryan and Christine Deignan; and brothers, Michael Deignan, William Deignan and Eugene Deignan. She also leaves behind her loving toy poodle, Gizmo, who hung by her every move.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Danny and Joseph Deignan
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore.
Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of services and thereafter until noon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.

Rich and boys, so sorry for loosing such a wonderful wife and mother. I was shocked, didn't even know she was sick.She was so fun to work with, I was the old Sally and she was the young Sally. Dear Rich and sons and family :I'm so truely sorry for the loss of your darling Sally.Tanya and I wanted to make it to the services but as fate would have it we have lost a family member unexpected on Thursday.My husbands son passed on.
I would just like to say how I treasure my memories with her from Harford Square to Laurel Valley to Patterson Mill so many good times.I was so sad when you all moved to Ca. but I'm so happy that she enjoyed her years there.I know she loved it there .Even though the states and years separated us the friendship I had with her those years was the best of the bestest!I loved her.Ill remember you all in my prayers .((Hugs)) to all.xoxo

Rich and sons, our sincere condolences on the loss of your dear Sally. She was truly a lovely person. Mark and I fondly remember her sweet personality, her kindness and warmth, and how she graciously hosted us and always made us feel welcome at your home when we moved to California.
