Michael D. Minnich, 62, of St. Marys, died at 5:35 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Vancrest of St. Marys Nursing Home.
He was born on July 11, 1953, in St. Marys, to Herschel B. and Barbara A. (Howell) Minnich.
Survivors include: a son Michael Minnich II of Wapakoneta and Cody Minnich of St. Marys; his three grandsons: Dylan Minnich, Easton Minnich, Justin Roby; his mother Barbara Minnich of St. Marys; his brothers Tony Minnich of Lebanon, Tenn., Phillip Minnich of St. Marys, and Bruce Minnich of St. Marys; his sisters Patricia (John) Harrod of Celina, Kristina Grant of St. Marys, Lisa (Scott) Grant of St. Marys, and Tammy Minnich of St. Marys, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his father Herschel Minnich; his wife Sue (Crocker) Minnich; his twin grandsons Caleb and David Minnich, and his brothers Roger Minnich and Donald Minnich.
Prior to becoming disabled, he had worked in the maintenance depart of Plasti-Pak Corp. in Jackson Center. He was a member of the Barbarians Motorcycle Club.
His favorite pastimes included riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and spending time with family and friends.
Funeral rites are scheduled to begin at noon Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys. Patrick Bayman will officiate the services.
Visitation will take place from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home on Ohio 703 West. Memorial contributions may be directed to his family.
