Willie John Arceneaux
LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Carencro for Mr. Willie John Arceneaux, age 69, who passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro.
Mr. Arceneaux was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette. He worked alongside his father harvesting hay on the Albarado Farm for many years.
Survivors include seven sons, Willis Arceneaux, James Arceneaux, Wilfred Arceneaux, Alfred Arceneaux and his wife, Anastasia, Jeremy Arceneaux, Randell Arceneaux, Sr. and his wife, Sandra, and Courtney Arceneaux; three daughters, Evelyn Arceneaux (Linus Guidry), Shanita Arceneaux (Richard Brown), and Sierra Arceneaux; twelve grandchildren; one brother, Calvin Arceneaux and his wife, Shirley; one sister, Gertie A. Senegal; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Rita Bertrand; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Curley Arceneaux, Sr., the former Evelyn Babineaux; three brothers, Joseph Arceneaux, Curley Arceneaux, Jr. and Mitchel Arceneaux and one sister, Theresa Arceneaux.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.
