My husband and I met Zora in 2012. She was a wonderful happy person that loved life and her family. We connected during my search for Beverley family members from Clintwood VA. She was the cousin of my husbands Dad Thelmer Lee Beverley who died in 1973. She loved talking about the family and her kids from school. We were so glad to know such a wonderful person. We are so sad to hear she is gone. Our condolences to the Willis and Lopez families.

There's always that person that has touched your life that you expect to live forever. Mrs Lopez was that for me. I was her little Suzy-Q and I loved her dearly. I hope that she knew how much of an impact she made on so many young lives. My deepest sympathies to the family.

I have always held this amazing lady close to my heart. I have for many years loved her like a second mom and thought of her fondly. When we were neighbors on York Road...she used to let me visit with my "Fun with Dick and Jane " Reader. She let me read to her. I could stay as ling as I wanted. She made so many memories and touched so many lives. Im sure shell live on forever in our memories. Until we meet again beautiful lady.

She was my most favorite teacher, I am so sad to hear of this :(, myself and my best friend Andy Crukshank were her "red headed pistols", she will surely be missed, but she left me with some of the best memories of my grade school years that I remember fondly still to this day, and will remember for the rest of my life.

Zora loved life so much! She loved her family and her school family. She always went above and beyond for her students and shared wonderful news about her family with her co-workers.She was so proud of you all! She was one of those natural born teachers! She had the patience of a saint and was a tremendously respected staff member of Southwest Licking Schools. Teaching was such a wonderful part of her life. I will always remember her smile and kind words!

Back in the 80's you could request a SPECIAL teacher for your child. In Mrs. Lopez' case, the request had to be made very early. Her class filled quickly. She saw the value in EVERY child. She taught them to read, pulled their teeth, loved them and followed their progress throughout their school years. God blessed us with a "once in a lifetime" teacher. I will always be.....a grateful parent.

She was my most memorable teacher in school. Taught me to read, I remember she used to give a dime for each book we read. I also remember she called me her belt from the frequent hugs I used to give her to which she always returned. Glad she was able to live a long life. May she rest in peace.

Mrs. Willis was my favorite teacher throughout my school years. I was able to stay up with my class and graduate on time all because of her. We kept in touch though the years and saw each other every now and then. She would talk to my mom and always asked her how I was and how my daughter was. She even mailed my daughter books when she was little. She will be greatly missed! RIP my sweet first grade teacher and friend until we meet again.

Mrs. Lopez is a fixture of my childhood, as she taught my siblings in addition to myself. She took personal time to participate in my life, well after I left Pataskala Elementary, including when I graduated. She is one of the reasons I became an educator myself. I will forever work to be to my students what she was to me. The world is a more beautiful place because of Mrs. Lopez.

Oh my sweet Nanny! You will be missed more than you will ever know! I know you are looking down on me and with me forever and ever. I am so happy to spend the last 2 years taking care of you and having you here with me everyday until the end! You were more than my great grandma, you were my rock, the person that kept me dreaming, and the person that held me when I needed a shoulder to cry on! I love you more than a busel and a peck!
Forever your sweetheart!

Zora was the most caring, loving and compassionate person who I was blessed to have as my teacher and friend. Zora would go over and beyond to help teach a child the love of reading and learning. The world was a better place with Zora in it.

Mrs. Willis was my 1st grade teacher. I let her pull my teeth so I could get that nickel she would tape to the top of the tooth that she wrapped in a napkin so we would lose it. She was more than a teacher to all her students. RIP Mrs. Willis. I will never forget you!

Mrs. Willis was without a doubt my favorite teacher, I was in her first - first grade class at Pataskala Elementary. She quickly became a family friend, later Mrs. Lopez taught my son as a first grade student, retiring just the year before my daughter was in 1st grade. She attended Birthday parties, pulled many, many baby teeth and always had a hug for young & old students. She enriched so many young lives, we will always hold her loving memories in our hearts.
