John Jolley
MOORESBORO, NC-- Mr. John Wayne Jolley, 73, of Mooresboro, NC went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 16, 2016. Born June 23, 1942 in Spartanburg County, he was the loving husband to Frances Price Jolley and the son of the late Lawrence Timmons Jolley and Marie Robbins Jolley. He retired from Duke Energy in Cliffside, was a member of Hicks Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Jolley proudly served our country in the United States Army, was a member of the Rutherford County Honor Guard and Crimestoppers of Rutherford County.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Sharon Jolley Nanney (Norman) of Spindale, NC; Janet Jolley Searcy (Philip) of Forest City, NC; brothers, Kenneth Jolley (Joan) and James Jolley (Joyce) both from Rutherfordton, NC; sisters, Margaret Yelton (Hoyt), Hazel McDade, Linda Byers (David) and Gail Morris (Donald) all of Rutherfordton, NC; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Hicks Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Byrd and Rev. John Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
