Marvin Wayne Patton, 76, of Norman passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016, at his residence.
Born Dec. 11, 1939, in Livonia, he was the son of Harold Cletus and Alice Marie Tincher Patton, both of whom preceded him in death. On Oct. 15, 1960, he married Brenda Karen Enochs, who survives.
Marvin was a member of Liberty Christian Church, and he was a retired maintenance worker with Wal-Mart Distribution Center, Seymour.
Besides his wife, survivors include two sons, Gregory Wayne Patton and Marlin Ray Patton, both of Norman; five brothers, Ivan Richard Patton, Ronald David (Cindy) Patton, Roger Cletus (Betty) Patton, Jerry Lee (Linda) Patton and Terry Ray Patton; four sisters, Bonnie Lou (Milton) Doan, Connie Sue Godbey, Sandra Kay Blount and Donna Jean (Ronnie) McCabe; four grandchildren, Karen Marie Patton (Daniel) Blocker, Gregory Wayne (Tabitha) Patton Jr., Ethan Andrew Patton and Dylan Cole Patton; and three great-grandchildren, Bre'anna Karen Blocker, Nylah Lorraine Patton and Lucas Daniel Blocker.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Eugene Patton.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown, with Ron Plumer officiating. Interment will be at Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from noon until time of service Thursday.
Memorials may be given to Liberty Christian Church.
