Jack Schultz born April 17, 1926, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016. He lived in New Kensington most of his younger life. He lived in Vandergrift for three years when he was 7, 8 and 9 years old. He moved back to New Kensington and attended schools there and graduated from New Ken High School in 1944. He married Ruth Walker, of Arnold, on June 5, 1948, and attended Robert Morris University the same year, graduating in 1952. He was married to Ruth for 42 years until her death on Nov. 9, 1990. During his work life, he was employed in New Kensington at Union Spring & Manufacturing, Alcoa and Citizens General Hospital. He joined the staff at North Hills Passavant Hospital on Dec. 1, 1963, and helped open the hospital in February 1964. He was director of finance at the hospital and retired on Nov. 30, 1986. He married Ruth Rosencranz on Dec. 10, 1994, and lived with her until his death. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; sons, Larry (Teresa), of Snow Hill, N.C., and Howard (Tamara), of Cumming, Ga.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
