Carmelo Louis Tirone HAMILTON SQUARE Carmelo Louis Tirone, 89, of Hamilton Square passed away peacefully on Aug. 4, 2016, at home. Mr. Tirone was born in Staten Island, NY, and was a graduate of Port Richmond High School and a Navy veteran, having served in World War II. He was retired from Verizon and was an avid bowler and Yankees fan. Son of the late Giacamo and Antoinette Tirone and husband of the late Maryann Tirone, he is survived by his son, Gary Tirone of Hamilton Square; son and daughter-in- law, Douglas and Lori-Ann Tirone of Eastampton, NJ; two grandchildren, Amanda Leigh and Nicholas Anthony, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 South Broad St., Hamilton. Services and entombment will be private at Colonial Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
