Mary Maude Edwards age 72 resident of Lake City, Florida passed away August 15, 2016 at North Florida Regional Hospital Terminating an illness.
Born in Lake City, Florida she was the daughter of the late Mr. John Henry Edwards and Mrs. Willie Darnell Gambles Edwards.
She attended the Public Schools of Columbia County at Kings Welcome and was a graduate of Richardson High Class of 1962.
Early in life she confessed Christ and was a member of Hope Henry A. M. E. Church.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Mary Regina Lee, 1 son, Joseph Willie Lee, Jr.; 2 sisters, Arrie (Cecil) Wade, and Willie Mae Jones; Uncle Nathan Gambles, Sr.; aunt, Esther Flonnory; a host of grands, great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel Friday August 19, 2016 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Maude Edwards will be 2:00pm Saturday August 20, 2016 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Rev. Alvin J. Baker, Pastor. Interment will follow in Hope Henry Cemetery Lake City, Florida.
Arrangements entrusted to COOPER FUNERAL HOME 251 N. E. Washington Street, Lake City, Florida Willis O. Cooper, L. F. D.

Heartbreaking when i heard this! She was such a sweet lady regardless of where we met she would always greet me with a "Hey Baby!" and a hug..She was my childhood hair dresser couldn't nobody press and candy curl hair like Ms.Mary!...Deepest sympathy
