News Death Notice
RAWLINS, Marilyn "Jean" Age 83, of Carlisle, OH, and formerly of Miamisburg, OH, passed away, Monday August 22, 2016, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Richmond, KY, on May 24, 1933, to the late Mary E. (Hill) and John L. Hopkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John M. Rawlins, Jr. (2008); and a great-grandson, John Francis (2016). She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Larry) Turner and Teri (Rick) Francis; her sons, John M. Rawlins and Tim (Gail) Rawlins; her brother, Robert Hopkins; 6 grandchildren, Curt, Mark, Suzette, Heath, Laura, and Amanda; 7 great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Kaylee, Liam, Logan, Keegan, Kade and Deegan; her sister, Sally (Sam) Greene; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, 12 Noon - 2 p.m., Thursday, August 25, 2016, at the Dalton Funeral Home, Corner of State Route 4 & Weaver Rd., Germantown, where the Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m., with Pastor Elmo Johnson officiating. My thoughts to the Rawlin's family. It is not easy to lose a love one. My Dad passed two weeks ago and so I know how your hearts are feeling. Remember the good things she did for your family. The laughs, the cry's, the food and that she loved you all.
