Pat Binder Obituary

Binder, Pat

Pat Binder passed away September 3 at Park View Health Center with family present. Born 6-17-36 she was the daughter of Harry and Esther (Billington) Anthes. Pat attended the one room grade school in Van Dyne and was part of the class of '54 from Oshkosh High. In 1956 she married Thomas J. Binder at St. Vincent's Church.

In addition to raising their children, referred to as the 7 from heaven, Pat served in many organizations and positions at St. Vincent's. Some were Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Christian Women, several choirs, the funeral lunch group and Parish Council. Other groups she was involved in were TOPS and Salvation Army. Pat enjoyed watching murder mysteries, participating in water exercises at the Y and singing. Her favorite line to add after the happy birthday song was "and many more".

Pat is survived by daughters Lynn Binder and Mary Ann (Doug) Wagner; sons Tom Jr, Tim (Marie), Jim (Rita), Dave and Jeff (Paula), 9 grandchildren; Chuck Wagner, Angela Schuhart, Heidi (Matt) Swanson, Richard, Sam, Hailey, Steph and Andrew--all Binders and Eric Flanagan. Pat also leaves behind 7 great grandchildren: Connor, Drew, Cody, Lucas, Quinn, Madison and Kal-el. She is further survived by step brother Carlton (Joann) Klemp and step sister Carla (Dan) Goffard plus oodles of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father Henry Klemp, husband, Tom; sisters, Bev Abraham, Kathy Schilling and brothers, Gary and Dennis Anthes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday September 7, at 11:00 AM in St Jude the Apostle Catholic Church (St Vincent worship site) with Rev Matt Simonar and William Van deKreeke officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home (865 S Westhaven Drive) on Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 PM and also at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.

The family would like to thank Dr. Blaha and the staff at Park View for the care given to Pat over the years. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.

Mary Ann, I just saw Betsy at Parkview last week. She told me your mom was there, but I didn't take time to go and see her. Now I'm sorry that I didn't. Hind sight is 20/20 you know. Your whole family has our deepest sympathy!! Now she can join her sister & brother up there, and catch up on the Van Dyne news. Van Dyne was 150 yrs. old year. They put together a real nice book.

Tim and Marie and Binder Family,

We are so sorry to hear the news about your Mom but know that she will be added to all those deserving people that share an eternal life in that great place with God. Our prayers are with all of you and your families.

Tim, I remember all the wonderful times of our childhood and being at each others houses and sharing times with our Moms and Dads, even if they were yelling at us for being too loud. We can cherish those memories and others forever until we join our parents again.

With Love,

Jeff and Chris Nigl
