I just learned of Thelma's death an hour ago--I no longer get the Piqua Call, and heard it from a friend. The viewing and funeral were already over, or I would certainly have been there to offer my deepest condolences to all of you.. I can still remember the visits between Thelma and my Mom (her first cousin)and all of us 3rd cousins, and all the fun we had, especially as kids. I always thought she was so nice and so pretty (she even reminded me of the singer/entertainer Bonnie Lou on the Ruth Lyons/Bob Braun TV show). Please know that she's up in Heaven now, with all of her deceased family and friends, and our dear Lord!
Sincerely, Anne Vanderhorst

I'd like to say on behalf of The Salvation Army Senior Citizens' J.O.Y. Club that Thelma was a beautiful woman inside & out. She was such a treasured part of our club & we enjoyed her company immensely. I just found out that she had passed so was not able to come to the viewing or funeral. My deepest sympathies go out to you. In The Salvation Army when a believer passes away, we say they have been promoted to glory. I believe this has been a promotion for Thelma & I know we'll see each other again some day. Hold onto your memories & let them give you comfort in the days ahead.
